Progenity provides complimentary access to board-certified genetic counselors to discuss patients’ test results and consult with clinicians. Our genetic counselors work as part of the healthcare team by serving as educators and acting as a resource for both patients and clinicians.

For Patients

Genetic counselors will discuss the patient's test results, while providing support and clear, concise information regarding result interpretation and available follow-up tests, plus the risks, benefits, and limitations of each. This allows patients to make informed decisions and will help the patient adjust to complex information or uncertainties.

For Clinicians

Our genetic counselors are here to offer the information and advice you need to guide your patients through the genetic testing process. And when you refer a patient to us for test result information, we’ll follow up with a note for the patient’s file, keeping you informed about the process.

Comprehensive genetic counseling is also a consideration for your patients. A board-certified genetic counselor can be located through the National Society of Genetic Counselors at nsgc.org.
